Model and actor Cara Delevingne’s residence in Los Angeles has been ravaged by fire.

The Los Angeles residence belonging to model and actor Cara Delevingne was engulfed in flames on Friday, resulting in its destruction.

According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange, one firefighter was transported to a hospital in fair condition due to unspecified injuries, while an unidentified individual from the house experienced minor smoke inhalation.

Following reports from TMZ that the house in the Studio City neighborhood, engulfed in flames before dawn, belonged to her, Cara Delevingne shared several Instagram stories addressing the fire. Delevingne, who is currently starring in a production of “Cabaret” on London’s West End, was reportedly not present at home during the incident.

Firefighters responded to the two-story house and encountered intense flames at the rear, which resulted in the destruction of a room and extended to the attic, as per Prange. After ensuring the evacuation of all occupants from the house, firefighters adopted a defensive stance, leading to the collapse of the roof. Extinguishing the flames required over two hours of effort.

Hours later, Delevingne shared a video depicting a street filled with fire trucks, their lights flashing.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people who have shown up to help,” read another Instagram story.

In a third Instagram story, she posted a photo of two cats alongside the caption, “My heart is broken today. I cannot believe it. Life can change in the blink of an eye. Cherish what you have.” She later reassured her followers with another post that her cats were unharmed in the fire.

The destroyed home corresponds to one showcased in a 2021 feature in Architectural Digest. Originally built in 1941 for the Von der Ahe family, founders of the Vons grocery chain, the white brick house boasted two pools and two trampolines in the backyard.

Delevingne and her designer infused the residence with whimsical touches, such as a costume room tailored for dress-up parties, a bathroom serving as a tribute to David Bowie, as well as poker and billiard rooms. Additionally, the house featured a ball pit, adding to its playful atmosphere.

“If I’m having a bad day, I just hop in the ball pit,” Delevingne shared with the magazine. “You can’t really cry in a ball pit.”

Delevingne’s representatives did not immediately respond to emails seeking comment.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

The 31-year-old London-born Delevingne rose to prominence as a fashion model in the early 2010s before transitioning into acting. She starred in the 2016 DC Comics film “Suicide Squad” and Luc Besson’s 2017 “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.”

Delevingne also featured in the Hulu series “Only Murders in the Building” alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez in 2022, and appeared in FX’s “American Horror Story” in 2023.
