Hellish Conditions Unfold as Severe Hunger Grips Gaza

The World Health Organization (WHO) faced challenges delivering food to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis due to significant delays at checkpoints, leading to a critical shortage. A Mercy Corps aid worker reported witnessing two individuals suffocating to death amid overcrowding when a rare food delivery finally reached northern Gaza.

Dr. Omar Abu Taha expressed uncertainty about the details of injuries and the identities of victims as Palestinians buried numerous bodies, released by Israel, in Rafah. Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis was reportedly stormed by Israeli troops, who demanded the evacuation of doctors and displaced Palestinians, according to the Palestine Red Crescent.

Since October 7, Israeli attacks on Gaza have resulted in at least 26,751 fatalities and 65,636 injuries. Meanwhile, the death toll in Israel from the October 7 Hamas attacks stands at 1,139.
